On January 12, 2021, despite the ongoing national emergency due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the US Supreme Court reinstated a federal restriction on the dispensing of mifepristone, one of the two medications in a medication abortion. Click below to read our full analysis of this decision.
We do not give medical or legal advice or sell abortion pills. This website is an educational resource for learning about how people in the US are accessing abortion pills and safely managing their own abortions. Plan C provides research-based information but does not endorse any of the services listed in the Guide to Finding Pills.
A note on language: Abortion pills can generally be used by people who have a uterus and can get pregnant, which is predominantly cisgender women. Sometimes you will see the word “women” on this website, but we will also refer to “people who are pregnant.” We aim to be inclusive of all pregnant people, including those who identify as nonbinary, trans, intersex, lesbian and queer.
We started with the belief that abortion pills belong in the hands of people who need them, and that this kind of care is a basic human right.
Help us share reliable information, empower people to make an informed choice that’s best for them, and usher in a new era of access in the US.
